Creating a Pawsome Community in The Charlotte Metro ๐Ÿพ

If you're a pet player looking to meet other critters and wag your way through unforgettable experiences, join us! As one of the leading pet groups in the Charlotte metro area, The Howling is dedicated to bringing together pups, pets, critters, and all members of the community for a howling good time!

The Howling, established on August 27th, 2021, was created to bring like-minded individuals together in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for the LBGTQ+ pet play community in and outside of bar nightlife. As a group, we want to destigmatize pet play, educate others on the topic, and provide a space for others to enjoy it.

Forming a pet play group has been a long standing dream and goal for our founder, Theo Chance, and many of the crew. The idea to create a pet-players group came into play in the pandemic of 2020. Covid-19 took away a lot of the night life and what little of the pet play scene there was in the Charlotte-metro area.

All of our crew members have leadership experience in the kink community, primarily in focused groups. Our team has plenty of network connections around the states, especially in pet player groups, but in other communities in general. We all share a drive and passion for The Howling.

The founder, Theo Chance, has almost a decade of experience in the community. Over the years he has created many connections with other groups that also hold events around the states. One of these connections has been President Mx. Minty, who has a handful of years in the community and different out looks on the kink community. Aside from our wonderful founder and vice president, we have an amazing crew. Our crew helps out a lot with things like; merch, Helping to make and sell, setting up and tearing down events and reassuring the safety of all of our members. They really aid running this group.

With the help from our wonderful members and crew, The Howling has made some amazing achievements. We have created spaces for the younger members of our community, although all of our members must be 18+. We have achieved the ability to have our own major event at a wilderness retreat called Camp Paws. We have provided a space for vendors outside of the bar scene and are even now marching in the Charlotte pride parade! These achievements are great and they fuel our drive for the future. We plan on growing the community even bigger, spreading into other bars, creating more of a nightlife for 18+ kinkster's, and being able to hold educational nights with other organizations and venues.

How it came to be

Connections through

Social Events

We believe in the priority of connections diversity and inclusivity. That's why we organize and host social events that provide a safe and welcoming space for our guests to socialize, network, and have a blast.

We host a variety of events to cater all members of the community. Our first and ongoing monthly Pet Night events that are for critters 21+, are held at our home bar every last Friday of the month where we provide a mosh area with mats and a ball pit, and have merch for sale to fund our events.

There is a monthly munch that is available for critters 18- 20 years old and anyone that wants to get out of the bar scene. These are social gatherings usually held in public spaces where food is near by and sometimes there are activities to participate. Unless stated otherwise, these are vanilla settings.

Seasonally, we have special events for the holidays and for Pride Month that are also 18+ spaces.

Biannually we host Camp Paws at Riverโ€™s Edge in GA, which is a 21+ space and a nudist safe haven.
